The YMCA Swim Lesson Curriculum is a core group of aquatic skills every person needs to be safe around water. As the foundation of our program, these skills allow students to learn correct swim stroke techniques. Students begin with and build upon skills they are ready to learn, helping them to celebrate their successes, build self-confidence, and enjoy learning to swim and water safety.
Teen Swim Lessons ages 13-17
These classes are for young adults who are beginner swimmers or who have not had swim lessons previously. Participants will learn basic swimming and water safety skills.
These lessons give you individualized attention to help improve or master swimming skills. You set the agenda by working with the instructor to determine goals. Curriculum is customized to meet these goals.
Water lovers of all ages can take skills to the next level with specialty classes like water fitness classes, diving, competitive swimming, triathlon training and more.
Gain the skills and knowledge you need to provide care and act in an emergency through lifeguard training, CPR training, first aid training or babysitting safety training.
