The ASHI (American Health and Safety Institute) Basic First Aid initial training program provides workplace and community training in first aid emergency skills. The goal of this training is to help students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond in a medical emergency. The program is designed to focus on caring for injured or ill adults and children in a variety of settings, including soft tissue injuries, muscle and bone injuries, burns, sudden illness and environmental emergencies.
To achieve certification, participants must score 70% or better on the written exam, and demonstrate all knowledge and skill objectives. First Aid certification is valid for two years.
